Suggestion - Different wording for NVSE conflict #8659

Closed VortexFeedback closed 3 years ago

Vortex Version: 1.4.2 Memory: 16.00 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19042) As you can see from the screenshot, the dialogue correctly refers to file conflicts, but the description and the update banner refer to 'mod dependencies', yes NVSE is a dependency for some mods, but the older NVSE fulfils that, so perhaps just stick with the file conflict language?

The wording on the dialog is completely correct. "File conflict" just says that files from the different NVSE installations overwrite each other. "mod dependency rules" are rules that resolve such conflicts, in this case by declaring that two versions of NVSE can't be installed at the same time.

dependency in this context is used to mean "a has some kind of relation with b", could be "requires, conflicts or has to load after".
