Closed VortexFeedback closed 3 years ago

VortexFeedback commented 3 years ago

Vortex Version: 1.4.9 Memory: 31.87 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19042) All my steam games are in the same file. However for awhile now it can't seem to find any new games other than the three it already has when. Every game is there I have looked several times and they are there, however, vertex can't find them.

Hi there - you're going to need to give us a lot more information if you want us to investigate this.

Vortex Version: 1.4.9 Memory: 31.87 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19042) Games like NieRAutomata, some of the dragon ages, and fallouts. It shows that I have some of the fallouts but not fallout 4. There current location is Local Disk (D:) Steam Steamapps common. However, the games that it does show are also in the same files so I don't know way it wouldn't be showing them.

So you're claiming that Vortex cannot find/manage Fallout 4 on your machine, yet the log file you sent us in your initial report suggests that you are actively managing the game and successfully installing mods for it!

Additionally you have to understand that not all games that are available on the website are automatically supported by Vortex - someone needs to write a game support extension for it. Games like NieRAutomata and some of the dragon ages are NOT currently supported.

Finally, you still didn't tell me whether you tried to set the game's location manually for the games that Vortex does support.

I'm afraid that given your last response, you do not seem to understand how Vortex works which makes me believe that whatever issues you're having are down to user error. The Vortex bug tracker is intended to be used to investigate erroneous application behaviour, not to act as a help desk.
