Hi there - error code c0000005 is raised when an access violation occurs (the mod installer tried to access a memory address that it wasn't supposed to)

Was this a one off ? Are you now able to install everything as usual ?

Vortex Version: 1.4.12 Memory: 15.95 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19043) No it's consistent across multiple games

Ok in that case that would suggest that something is constantly interfering with the installation process.

Lets try a few things:

  1. Install the latest VC++ redistributable https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
  2. Restart your machine and disable your Anti Virus (don't start up any other applications) - run Vortex and try installing mods.

Let me know if the error is being raised again, and if it is please include your vortex logs in your next reply (use the "Attach File" dropdown button in the issue responder OR do it through the feedback form, which you can access via the top right of the UI -> 3 dots -> Send Feedback; and make sure to specify you're replying to #9317)
