By convention, the "X" marking should indicate the deletion of the object, and thus the lifeline should stop at that point. However, it continues downwards, indicating that it still exists.

Rejected as this cosmetic error is caused by plantuml not having the feature to remove the lifeline.

The deletion cross should not be right after the object returns a value, but should be placed slightly below the activation bar.
