Could you create an example of how that would look like? Pre formatting, but how much support is there for background and foreground colors? Is there any ANSII escape code to md converters?

There is no official color support that I can find. https://github.com/github/markup/issues/1440

If there is no examples of how to do this I can't do much. Closing for now, but happy to look further if any example is given.
