Generally speaking, I wait until I'm IN the cockpit to turn VR on. Get in the cockpit, turn on WMR, then CTRL-TAB to start VR in the sim.
Assuming your CTRL-TAB keyboard combination is mapped correctly, mine was not and I had to do it manually.
Shit, never mind, I thought you were talking about MSFS. I haven't had any issues with AI myself, but I don't remember the procedure I used. Because I spend too much time MSFSing LOL...
Thanks for responding but no its AI im trying to get working. It launches the game in a minimised windows but wont play through the headset at all.
Same issue as described above here. Doesn't run on the HP Reverb G1 anymore. What a pitty.
As with OlDirtyMF (great name BTW!) I can't get it to run on my G1 - with or without xbox controller.
Really a shame as I bet it looks fantastic in the G1!
Oh well, back to my Q2 for now...
Same issue, black screen with 4 dots circling, I can only hear sound and see the loading screens\intro sequence. Main menu is black, in-game is black, the desktop monitor shows the game.
Hey LLockey, I found on my system that it's where the VR resolution level is just too high. For MSFS2020 I have to reduce to 70-75, for HL:A about 85 and for Alien Isolation 65-70.

I hadn't tried it before. Now I did play around with different resolutions but sadly non of it worked. When I am in the loading screens & intros the steamvr Dashboard works, but when I see the three dots rotating, the dashboard does not even appear, it's like the app is hanging or waiting for something.
@LLockey
Solution that worked for me:
Ive followed the setup instructions and i can get the game to launch but im having issues getting it to display on the headset. As the game loads i am able to see the start up screens through the headset but once it gets to the menu the headset displays white dots circling around one another.
Has anybody managed to get this to work through WMR? Any help would be very much appreciated.
