Onwards style locomotion using gamepad #57

Hi, I know that was asked before the Onward style locomotion with the touch controllers but until this become possible would be great to add thid option just using the gamepad. There are two important reasons that most of the modders fail to realize when not detaching the head movement from the general movement. The first is the motion sickness and the second is the lack of freedom to look anywhere while walking/running. Right now this issue is keeping me away from playing this game in vr and can't understand why such obvious thing is not given as an option. This consideration can be found not only in Onward but in other games as Dreadhalls. Hope it will be added in the next release. Thank you very much.

I think they realize it, but if the base game doesn't allow decoupling head from body, it may be very complicated.

But anyway, even if it's easy decoupling, how do you make it if the gamapad itself is not tracked ? When you push forward, you can give 2 options normally, head direction or controller direction ...

The head is definitely decoupled in this game but without access to the source code I dont think a mod could make that change without breaking something.
