Downloaded photo size is smaller than Google Photos Storage #45

Hi!

I followed the instructions and used the exe to successfully download all my photos from GPhotos but i'm noticing my downloaded size is only 75gb while GPhotos states my overall storage is 203gb?

Does this process downscale or compress the size of my photos?

The Google API doesn't give back original files unfortunately, the only way to do this might be with Google Takeout. This process gets the best available file through the API, but as you can see they are smaller than the original photos.

Takeout doesn't download the raw files either. I was hoping your program would. Why does Google make this so hard?
