FeatureRequest: Add in the option for "Ellipse Capture"

This concept was taken from a feature on some latest updated Samsung phones. (from 'Smart Select' on edge panels)

Instead of a oval recording, what about a feature that lets you add a round/oval border to your project? This will be easier to implement, I believe.

Yeh, that would work as well. But there should be an option while recording to "preview" your ellipse etc. (it can just be a transparent overlay)
