Question:

Define in my own words what is the ELK stack.

Definition:

ELK stack, or now more commonly refereed to as the Elastic Stack is a collection of Big Data tools consisting of Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and some others. It was called ELK because at the beginning is was just the 3 which abbreviated to ELK, but it now includes other tools such as Beats.

The Elastic Stack helps users: A.) take data from any type of source and in any format, then B.) search, analyze, and visualize that data.

Approach:
