Help: hundreds of tweets from a followed account pulled at once! #187

Hi @NicolasConstant,

thanks for providing BSL, it helps me to keep track of some Twitter accounts while moving to Mastodon. I recently installed my own private instance and began using it by following 60 accounts yesterday.

Everything seemed to work fine, but I expected a strange behavior today:

I am following the Twitter Account "floexofficial" (https://twitter.com/FloexOfficial) since yesterday. The number of posts in my mirror first stayed empty, because there were no new tweets posted by the user since I followed him (what is to be expected).

Then, today morning, a new tweet was published (https://twitter.com/FloexOfficial/status/1620336944122318849) by the user and 20 minutes after that, 161 tweets were pulled at once (some of them very old, in random order).

Can you explain to me what happened there? Is there any way to prevent this and to get rid of all the old posts?

Here is a screenshot of my /statistics endpoint:

Thank you very much!

That's weird and not really the expected behavior. I don't really have a clue, but if it occurs again please update, maybe we'll find a pattern or something reproducible.
