Arch - Stream unusable, either black or flickering, no input

Describe the bug I installed shadow via AUR. When i start the stream it is initially black, my system lags. Sometimes the stream starts flickering. Input is not forwarded into the stream. My system is unusable. I cannot use ctrl+alt+f to tab-out of shadow. Only rebooting helps.

System

• OS: Arch
• OS Version: 5.8.9-arch2-1
• Environment: Budgie Desktop / Gnome
• Application: Installed via AUR, /usr/bin/{shadow-beta}
• Application Version: 4.17.9

Configuration

• The user is in input group ? yes
• The environment uses Xorg ? yes
• VA API detects H264 ? And H265 ? Yes, No

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to Shadow
2. Click on Start
3. See error, nothing works, host system lags, have to reboot

Additional context Add any other context about the problem here. I have a thinkpad T440p with a fresh arch linux installation. I installed libva-intel-driver.

To clarify, shadow worked before on debian with openbox as DE. It did not work with Ubuntu 20.04. It used to work with shadowcker up until today.

now works. downgraded to libva-intel-driver-2.3.0-2
