Filter Out Teams? #9

I love this extension and it is vital in my day to day use of VSTS.

I am wondering if there is the ability to filter or remove some teams from Team Capacity page. I have a number of teams that i need to capacity plan for, however some of the teams are "inactive" at the moment so I do not want to see that team's column in my Team Capacity page.

Is there a way i can do this? Of course I can delete the team from the master Project Team - however that also deletes the associated work items/pbi/history as well. There is value in retaining that. I simply just need to filter/remove/toggle the teams I want to display on the page.

Thoughts?

Or maybe is there a way to "copy out" the team/area out from the master project? Then everything is preserved and it won't appear on the Team Capacity page?

Hi, Thank you for your comments. Deleting a Team should not remove any work items or associated history. That said, this is on my radar and I am evaluating it as a feature.

Do you have a rough ball park time frame? I need to communicate upstream how long they need to live in Excel spreadsheets.

This is a free extension that I work on as and when I get time. The best I can say is that it depends on my other work commitments.

Good work NielZeeMan. Yes it would be great with a filtering function where we can hide some of the teams. Thanks!
