I have set my Mac computer working on an update of its OS. Let's see when that is finished, if I can run that installer. One of these days I will buy an Apple Developer Id, so that my software can be made available in App Store (for free, of course).

Thanks for your offer! At the moment I’m finish my PhD (Environmental fluctuations effect in indoor experiments: https://www.plantsciences.uzh.ch/en/research/fellowships/PlantHUB/projects/descriptions.html#Camilo_Chiang ) but Im also starting to work with models for greenhouses, plant factory and plants. I’m a agriculture engineer by background with a non diploma in statistics.

So, I upgraded -- to version 10.13.6 . I don’t know why it didn’t go all the way to 10.15.3 which you are running.

The installer worked in my case, except for the warning that the source of the installer is unknown. Well, you know that it’s me ☺

Anyway, I looked up the error message you got and found this https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/181026/lsopenurlswithrole-failed-with-error-10810-cant-open-install-os-x-yosemite I had this error with Pentaho 8. This command solved it for me: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine '/Applications/Pentaho/design-tools/data-integration/Data Integration.app' OSX will "quarantine" files that are downloaded from untrusted sources. You can see if this is your problem by listing the xattrs. cd /path/to/your/ApplicationName.app xattr -l Contents/MacOS/* If you see "com.apple.quarantine" then that's your problem. The robust solution to this menace is to get my software on App Store which I will be working on today.

Mmmm So i tried following the solutions for problem 10810 (removing the files from quarantine and changing the name of the app installer to the same name of the app inside) without success. I will keep trying, but attached the terminal output

You can see if this is your problem by listing the xattrs. cd /path/to/your/ApplicationName.app xattr -l Contents/MacOS/* If you see "com.apple.quarantine" then that's your problem. The robust solution to this menace is to get my software on App Store which I will be working on today.

I’m a agriculture engineer by background with a non diploma in statistics.

I’m a agriculture engineer by background with a non diploma in statistics.

I have set my Mac computer working on an update of its OS. Let's see when that is finished, if I can run that installer. One of these days I will buy an Apple Developer Id, so that my software can be made available in App Store (for free, of course).

It's been a while but as I am going to give my documentation a major overhaul (providing much of it as video clips), I just ordered a new iBook and also got my Apple developer license plus a code-signing licence. With all of that in place, a solution to this seems within reach.
