New releases? #36

Open Arfrever opened 7 years ago

Arfrever commented 7 years ago

There are no recent releases in https://github.com/NigelCunningham/tuxonice-kernel/releases page.

Until some time ago, released patches were in http://tuxonice.nigelcunningham.com.au/downloads/all/ page but that page is now broken.

Are new releases made anywhere?

ATM you can instead fetch a basic patch via Nigel's github, e.g. with this method: https://github.com/NigelCunningham/tuxonice-kernel/compare/vanilla-4.13...NigelCunningham:tuxonice-4.13.diff If you'd want to compile and use it, don't omit my fix patch from the bottom of Issue #34.

Best regards, Manuel Krause

Awesome, right what I looked for. However TuxOnIce developers should upload patches for every release, it's not that difficult though, and the main reason is to make the life easier when compiling a custom kernel.

@Megver83: YMMV. Current trees are from/for kernel 4.13.9 dated 20171021/20171024. I'm of the opinion that posting dedicated patches only makes sense, if there'd be some kind of development. But that didn't occur for months in fact. @NigelCunningham is obviously occupied by other jobs, thus leaving TOI aside, sad evidence.

Sorry for my slowness - you're absolutely right, Manuel - I'm busy with other projects and TuxOnIce isn't getting a lot of love. That said, it shouldn't need much attention apart from merging in upstream changes and addressing regressions caused by upstream changes like the one I need to focus on for you.
