9 years ago 3 google map with all complaints. (with a facility to select All / Open / Closed complaints) also with a facility to see category wise complaints like http://test-ak5.appspot.com/category/2. Let me clarify what I want in this point. I need some dropdown menus to filter the search here.
Instead of these tabs, we can go for some dropdown menus for filters. 1. Department 2. Officer 3. Open/closed/All 4. Time (All, Less than 7 days, 7 days-1Mth, 1 Mth-2 Mth, 2 Mth-6Mth, >6 Mth).
In these fields, 1 and 2 should have 'All' option as default if the user doesn't want to refine his query. In 3,4 - All is default.
Dropdown menu 2 will be dependent on menu 1. If I select PWD department, I should see only his employees there.

Right now looks like:
Icons should be decreased as mentioned in #11. Right now the complaint number is less. So such a display is OK. When the complaint increase lets say to 100 it is difficult to manage.
I suggest that we keep two sliders just like the one at bottom of http://test-ak5.appspot.com/index with automatic sliding (no need to go to < or >. 1 The first slider - Newest complaint first ... Slide to older. 2 The second slider - Most voted first .... slide to least voted 3 google map with all complaints. (with a facility to select All / Open / Closed complaints) also with a facility to see category wise complaints like http://test-ak5.appspot.com/category/2.
This way the user gets new information, most important information and also information on map.
