[Android 4.3] Cannot select text from books #490

Cannot select text from book when you first open a book. If you try to open the same book afterwards -> works like a charm.

Device: Could reproduce on Nexus 4 (each time) and sometimes Nexus 7.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to download pages
  2. Select ManyBooks.com
  3. Select new Titles
  4. Choose The Runaways
  5. Read
  6. Try to select a text using long click

Note: sometimes, on some pages it works.

Thank you for the very thorough test-instructions... does text selection work properly on the second time that you open that book, or does it never work?

There are no issues when I open the book the second time. It only happens when I do it for the very first time. And one more thing, it starts working after a screen rotation.

Hmm, very strange... I have no clue what could be causing this, so I'll need to dig around to find the cause.

I'll post an update when I know more.
