Description: We need a Hand Gesture Recognition System to control computer operations using hand movements, improving user interaction and accessibility. This feature will involve detecting various hand gestures using AI/ML techniques and translating these gestures into specific commands like adjusting volume, adjusting screen brightness, and navigating with a virtual mouse . The goal is to create a touchless experience that enhances convenience and usability, similar to modern gesture-based interfaces.

Tasks:

Research and select suitable datasets for hand gesture recognition. Develop or integrate a pre-trained model capable of detecting and classifying hand gestures in real-time. Implement a solution using [insert tech stack like Python, TensorFlow, OpenCV, etc.]. Create a user interface to display the detected gestures and map them to specific actions (e.g., volume control, brightness adjustment). Test and evaluate the system for accuracy and response time. Document the workflow, model architecture, and any other relevant information in the repository. Expected Outcome: A functional hand gesture recognition system that can accurately detect gestures in real-time and perform designated computer operations, providing a seamless, touch-free user experience.
