Change the color of each axis individually

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I would like to be able to change the axes color individually.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would like the axes to be individual colors.

Please provide a source code snippet that we can use to replicate the issue.
I will attach a patch fix to do this.
