Nitogen's core is GNU GPL, thus Nitrogen is GPL as well. Since under that license, one can redistribute freely, you can't restrict us from redistributing without completely replacing your emulator's core.

While we cannot prevent you from forking Nitrogen™ and redistributing your own copies, we can place restrictions on the usage of the Nitrogen™ name and associated artwork. As such, any unofficial copies of Nitrogen™ must change the name and icon to something else.

This is similar to how unofficial copies of Firefox are not allowed to use the Firefox name, which is why Debian's version of Firefox is known as Iceweasel, and how the 64-bit builds for Windows one person makes are known as Waterfox.

TL;DR: You're right, but if you redistribute any unofficial copies of Nitrogen™, you have to change the name and icon to something else.

I'll change the name, but the icon is just the Nintendo DS logo, which isn't (afaik) a trademark of Nitrogen, but one of Nintendo.

Hello.

Thanks for changing that. I can't help but notice that you are still using the Nitrogen name in several locations, and that, most importantly, you are still using our bundle ID of com.nitrogen.nitrogen. You using our bundle ID could potentially cause serious problems if someone has your build installed and then tries to install the official release of Nitrogen, so we ask that you change that.

Additionally, your builds still use the Nitrogen name, for example, in the file Localization.strings:

<string>Dropbox was linked successfully! Nitrogen will now start syncing your saves to a Dropbox folder called 'iDS' located in the root directory of your Dropbox folder.</string>

In addition to that, you refer to files as "Nitrogen ZIP", and "Nitrogen ROM", as well as in places like this:

<key>public.filename-extension</key> <string>Nitrogen</string>

Also, you might want to know that in the English localization file, at the top, you have the key named "ABOUT_NITROGEN". Since this is an internal identifier, that's not a problem, however you might want to know that you appear to have renamed it to "ABOUT_iDS" in all of the other localizations - I assume that was a mistake, but it could cause issues for people using your builds with a locale other than English.
