Chrome rejects FIDO2 resident key #64

Chrome is complaining about invalid response from the device, while trying to use a FIDO2 resident key.

Browser: Chrome v88 OS: Windows 10 20H2 Site: https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage/additional (Security screen in account details)

Steps:

  1. Add Nitrokey FIDO2 as a new to sign or verify on mentioned site
  2. Follow the wizard
  3. Failure message is shown, suggesting that user might be in a "private browser mode"
