Have a look at NixOS-QChem.

Hello,

Thank you very much for the reply. I almost got whatever I need in the above overlay. But, the VMD available is 1.9.3, whereas I wanted to install 1.9.4. Right now I am in Gentoo, and I was able to compile it successfully, But I am facing many problems with while trying to compile it in NixOs. I am still new to NixOs and trying to learn it in a QEMU.

Feel free to open an issue at NixOS-QChem, the maintainer is very responsive.
