Project description

This application uses state-of-the-art source separation models to remove vocals from audio files. UVR's core developers trained all of the models provided in this package (except for the Demucs v3 and v4 4-stem models).

(Sidenote: this package is widely known to outperform other usual tools for removing vocals eg. spleeter from Deezer)

Actually, I tried packaging this a few months earlier. Other than the fact that there are a lot of unpackaged dependencies used, the main issue was that it was trying to download models and other files to the install folder, which is not allowed. I tried patching it out to use a directory, like ~/.uvr-cache, but never got it to actually work :/ Might take another look at it and see if anything's changed since I last tried.

Oh that would be kind of you! With the amount of niche nix packages that I need, I think I'm going to go all in on nix packaging this following month. Will definitely work on this package if your build fails again.
