Remmina Weird Special Key Behavior #325928

Open eminentv opened 2 months ago

eminentv commented 2 months ago

Describe the bug

Having a weird keyboard behaviour inside Remmina rdp connection. Letters works fine as expected, but any special key (ctrl, alt, enter, tab...) comes out as as letter instead. (Backspace as an "u" for exemple).

I tried changing preferences > rdp > keyboard options but the problem persists.

It has been reported that if they uninstall the Flatpak version and install RPM version it works. However, I am new to NixOS so I am still figuring that piece out to change the package to install.

Having the same issue, but copied the response from another user on Reddit

Steps To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install Remmina 1.4.35 from NixPackages

Expected behavior

Expected all special keys to act correctly.

I just started having this issue as well. Can't use non-letter keys in my windows rdp server.

Confirm on fedora silverblue and remmina from flatpak. RPM version couldn't check, didn't work because of Failed to create OpenH264 decoder But I reinstalled remmina from flatpak but from flathub (and not from default fedora repo) And it works now as expected.
