It is the only authenticator program that works on all desktop and mobile platforms. It is a very useful application as it works on all operating systems and all platforms, and also works on the web. Moreover, since the database is in the cloud, there is no need to back up or restore from backup.

Here and here. It was in #339059, which was merged 3 weeks ago, so it has already been distributed on the nixos-unstable channel (which lags roughly 3 days behind master). From the discussion in #350413, it seems like this package won't be backported, so you'll have to wait until 24.11 if you want it in a stable release (though you can manually pull in a dep from nixpkgs-unstable if you want it sooner).
