This article discusses machine learning being used to help teach music. Songsmith is a system that takes a voice recording and makes instrumental music out of the voice recording. PLOrk is used to facilitate the high level design of musical systems. This is done so that the creative part of the arts can be done before the appropriate sensorimotor skills are acquired.
