Steam Deck OLED - Handheld Image Locks Up During First Boot If WPA3 Wifi Network Used For Install #7

When I first installed Nobara 40 (the first couple times) I connected to the WPA3 network I normally use for my most modern devices (that my OLED has been using for months without issue) for the installation of the OS, however after completing installation and attempting to boot into the installed OS, the device would hang either on a black screen or a "Verifying Installation" Steam Game Mode boot-time screen.

This behavior repeated until I ran the installation with my dock connected to Ethernet. Then first boot proceeded normally.

As I continued to play around with the new installation, I noticed that, while I could SEE the WPA3 network in Game Mode, the passphrase field would not appear when that network was selected and was therefore unable to connect to that network in Game Mode. I was able to connect to my WPA2 network without issue from Game Mode.

It should be noted that post-install and first boot, I was able to connect to the WPA3 network in Plasma and the Deck remained connected to that SSID in Game Mode. Given the first-boot time behavior, I expected that SSID to not connect in Game Mode, but it did, even through a Game Mode reboot.

Regardless, I suspect the hang up at boot has to do with this version of Game Mode not dealing well with WPA3 secured networks (or it could be a "using wireless to install" issue, I did not test installation connected to the WPA2 network because I wanted to install and play some games, heh). It may be worthwhile to note, if there are confirmed working installations via WPA2 wireless, that installation over a WPA3 network does not currently work and is not supported. I'm also not your Dad, so I'll leave that up to you!
