I'm using Profilist 1.2.2 with Firefox 53.0 on Debian GNU/Linux which is great - and also I'm glad to see that there is work in progress for a WebExtension version :)
Here is the thing : create a Firefox Profile with accented characters in its name (for instance "Invité" wich is the french name for "Guest") and then try to launch it using Profilist : Profilist only manage to launch the Firefox Profile Manager.
Then rename that profile by changing the accented character with a non-accented character (for instance turn "Invité" into "Invite") : Profilist is now able to directly launch that Profile
