Your Solution

HM currently offers no solutions to the production of lubricant besides seed extraction, which is power intensive and low yield. To remedy this, the new greenhouse multi should either have a recipe that converts some organic resources such as seaweed, grass, or seeds along with 2 fish into a larger amount of fish. The ratios would have to be balanced and discussed to ensure that it remains cost-effective to grow seeds in the greenhouse, then use those seeds to grow fish, then turn those fish into lubricant. As opposed to simply turning seeds directly into lubricant.

How Will Your Solution Work

Example recipe: 16 seeds + 2 fish = 16 fish

Additional Information

We might add some other novel uses for fish, or increase the need for lubricant in other areas, as this system will provide quite large amounts of fish. I am not sure to check right now, but fish could be used as a protein source for neural chips as well.

This will also only be useful in HM, as its fairly trivial to generate fish via DML in NM.

There is a Fishing machine already...

As far as Lubricant goes, if you are on HM you are gonna be swimming in Creosote Oil easy way to make it. PBI/Kapton are mostly obtained via Charcoal by products.

there's also the option of turning regular oil into lubricant (along with a little bit of redstone)

All of these are great points, but I like having multiple acceptable avenues when it comes to important resources. It helps differentiate playthroughs and can sometimes be more convenient or cool.
