add circuit tier in disc #905

just do this instead of maybe add it under the already existing one for easier jei accessibility image

Since all circuits indicate their tier in the tooltip and are interchangeable in patterns through Ore Dictionary, it's pretty easy to search for a particular tier. The progression page in the quest book is also a handy reference for seeing which circuits are equivalents if you can't think of it offhand.

In Nomifactory the circuit tier isn't quite representative in that fashion. While it is generally true for example that tier one circuits are used for LV machines, the Assembling Machine requires the next tier of circuit (primitive/electronic/refined processor). This is also true of several early-game multiblock controllers.

Your suggestion is essentially what GTCEu opted for in their adaptation of circuit progression. For that mod's vanilla progression, as I understand it the circuits do universally correspond with the voltage tier of the machines they are used in.
