Monthly Total Time Filter #80

When you change the Time Frame for the Monthly Total chart it doesn't show all of the data from the last month in the range. Example: I rated 75 media in January but if I restrict the Monthly Total chart to One Month it only shows 28. It makes sense if you only want to see data for the last 30 days but my use for this feature is to compare which months I tend to consume more, so only showing 28 instead of 75 becomes misleading. (It becomes a bigger issue when doing a 6 months or 1 year time filter)

So if you selected 'One Month' today, should it:

I think the 1st and 3rd would be what a noob user would expect.

Honestly I don't think a One Month option is necessary. Since your current month should always be displayed no matter what option you choose.

The issue I'm having is if I my settings to show All Media and go back say 6 Months it will take me to August and say that I rated 3 media in August (since its only pulling data from August 27-31). I can't think of a use where I would rather know the partial information for a month based on whatever date I check it instead of just getting the full month of whatever is on the far end of that time filter.

Does that make sense? For the 6 Month option I think it should show:

  1. All of current month (February)
  2. January
  3. December
  4. November
  5. October
  6. September 1st - September 30th (regardless of the date in current month)
  7. No August information since it was 7 months ago (even though in days it hasn't been 7 months yet)
