Reverse search by URL

It would be neat if Fluffle could reverse search by passing an URL as a query parameter, like the following: https://fluffle.xyz/?url=https://example.xyz/image.jpg. This would allow sites to link to Fluffle to execute a reverse search request.

• Implement incoming and outgoing rate limiting to prevent Fluffle from being abused and causing trouble respectively.
• Only allow HTTP(S) URLs of which the host is whitelisted. The whitelist should consist out of all the supported platforms.
• Cache hash function output by URL.

Sorry to bump this out of nowhere but this would be really great because I can't figure out how to make POST searches work with SauceNAO's owner's old Image Search Options extension I use https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/image-search-options/ though it is getting a bit out of date, it works more than well enough that I never really liked other ones I checked out.

It seems like all I get is the page opening in a new tab but I guess it wasn't designed to go to a results page, assuming the POST even worked at all, I have no idea since the response would go nowhere.

I know you have an actual extension for this anyway but the need to reverse search images I would likely find on e621 that wouldn't be found by SauceNAO already is a bit of an edge case. (And admittedly the image itself fell afoul of the cropping issue you mention in another issue, where e621's Similar Images Search actually got it with 70 points)
