2 months ago Apparently some are successfully working around this issue by downgrading BG3SE to the Mar 28 version.
Or if you don't use BG3SE for anything but Native Mods, then this issue stops when you move the DWrite.dll into your /NativeMods folder.
It's a shame there was no acknowledgement of this on the release notes in the past month, considering -
- It's a game-breaking incompatibility issue with the no. 4, no. 9, and no. 16 most uniquely downloaded mods in the game (Native Mods, Camera Tweaks, and WASD)
- BG3SE Mar 29 release notes claim it fixed the game not opening, but actually introduced this issue. That led me down the wrong path for a while troubleshooting other things.
