I've moved the .dll file into the DefEd/bin folder and launched the game. There was no ScriptExtender text by the game version, and trying to load a savefile brought up the story compilation error.
I did the same on my laptop and it worked perfectly fine. The only difference on PC is that Steam and DOS2 are installed on separate drives (as mentioned in a previous issue) but in my case DOS2 isn't split, there is only one DefEd/bin folder on the system.
I'm running Definitive Edition, and I ran it with an internet connection.
Is there anything I can do to try to get the .dll to load?
Not sure if it's helpful, but I'll attach screenshots:
Turns out there is a full folder of DOS2 both in D:/Steam and in D:/SteamLibrary. Following the regular installation instructions to SteamLibrary instead of Steam solved the issue.
