Unable to run beyond creating window for nrfConnect for Desktop #726

Previously I ran an older version (I think 3.10) that ran fine. However, recently I installed VSCode and it wouldn't run past window creation.

So I downloaded v3.12.0 nRF Connect for Desktop and unfortunately it also couldn't run past the creation of the window.

Is there a log file I could check for errors? Maybe I have a corrupted configuration file while installing plugins on VSCode?

The set up is:

nRFConnect

You can view the console with Ctrl+Shift+I and see whether there is anything helpful there.

But as the issue text says, which you also kept, asking these kind of questions is usually better done at http://devzone.nordicsemi.com/.

@datenreisender Thank you! That was very helpful. it reported that my OS lacked glibc 2.28.

Initially I couldn't find the button for signing up to Nordicsemi's forum, but I found it now and will register. Thank you.
