Setting Up Google Authentication with Netlify Identity

• [x] Enable Identity in Netlify:

  • Log in to your Netlify account and navigate to the site where you have deployed your Jekyll and Decap CMS project.
  • Go to the Identity tab and click Enable Identity if it is not already enabled.

• [x] Configure External OAuth Provider in Netlify (Google):

  • In the Identity settings, go to Settings and usage.
  • Scroll down to External providers and click Add provider.
  • Choose Google from the list of providers.

Done in Netlify

Once we handover Netlify account to teacher, google authentication needs to be set up again (needs to be setup by the owner of the Netlify account)

Please note that next year students have to set up again as the owner of Netlify has changed. I created a new task in backlog for them
