The ping problem was pretty bad that we basically disabled the anticheat for a week because of the random bursts of high ping. Doesn't seem to be related to the tps and player count so not sure what it could be caused by.
I have a theory of why would this happen, will see if the fix for that will work next version, in addition, make sure to update to the latest version, and I'll need some timing reports of the latest version if this still happens after the next update
hey there, that's not really a fix but the older versions should work again now so you can try downgrading for now until we fully figure this out
I know this issue is extremely old, just wanted to point out that we are pretty sure we have detected what causes this issue for some people and its going to be fixed in the recode by the implementation of advanced multithreading
Unfortunately though this solution makes sense to implement only in the recode because it would be hard to support it in current GodsEye's base and doing so will probably cause some errors and maybe even accuracy issues
Thanks for the update!
We'll be trying out the recode once that's released 👍
1) GodsEye Build 43 2) 1.16.5 PurPur (967) 3) ProtocolLib 4.5.1 4) N/A 5) 6) Everyone's ping is much higher than usual. After updating GodsEye to the latest since August 2020, you can see the average ping in the image being very sporadic. It's acting like the packets are being held onto for a little bit, resulting in frequent bursts of high ping. The chat also gets frozen as well which is very unusual since chat should be async on the server, so something is causing all the packets to seize for a bit.
