Hello,

im using the Skill Homebridge Yeelighter to switch my Yeelight Lamp on and off. The Yeelight Lamp has 2 Lights Normal Light and a Background Light which i can switch on and off separately.

Is it possible to edit the device name or add the last 7 characters from the serial to the device name? It would help alexa to see the difference between bulbs

Have you asked Alexa to discover devices again? If this what I think it is, it should resolve itself after.

@eliac7 @alert82 This should now be resolved. The developer of the yeelight plugin published an update and resolved this issue. Please update your yeelight plugin, change the name in the home app and this should be resolved. It may take a restart of homebridge-alexa after changing the name for it to take effect.
