It would be nice to have zoom control ingame or menu option to set zoom a little bit in. Everything is way too small to play comfortably.

Zoom controls sounds like a lot of engine related work, so that probably won't happen. What might happen is "DOS" mode, which was added some time ago in Vanilla Conquer. I might test it out, since I was planning to update Vita port with latest upstream fixes somewhere next year anyway.
