none in particular. but, the idea popped into my head cuz there was too much sun outside: the lab will say "this will never happen", probably, but what if? what do we do then?
it doesn't quite map with #10 but close enough

Which project are you thinking of now?
I think this ties into NorwegianVeterinaryInstitute/ClarityLims#10https://github.com/NorwegianVeterinaryInstitute/ClarityLims/issues/10 . If we get that one settled, I think things would be much clearer (cough).

There are two "projects" in the lims. Three if you include the VIGAS flavour:
If I am not mistaken, this is how it works:
Project (aka submission) is not used by the demultiplexing script at all. This is just for lab users to have an overview of the different submissions in the lims.
Project Account is the same as "Sample_Project" in the sample sheet. This will indeed be in duplicate as it is reused for any sample registered to be invoiced from that particular project account.
Species is species and is used to send the sample to the correct bucket in VIGAS.
So in conclusion: this is not an issue for the demultiplexing script. Project (aka submission) could in theory be created in duplicate by mistake, but this info wont be used for demultiplexing anyway.
