The "x" can be used for a version ID.

08d9ce40e54682ecefdbec4d38ce1b0b32d6ff54 adds TOCALL APE2A1 where the final 1 will follow any future MAJOR version changes.

Tested with email:

Where /Y is a sailboat symbol and I have removed my specific [AUTH TOKEN] from the above example, but it authenticates / authorizes:

   CALL: VA3NNW-4
   def-sym: Nn
   def-obj: TestObj
   def-msg: NoseyNick testing - DO NOT IGATE

It produced the following in APRS-IS:

VA3NNW-4>APE2A1,TCPIP*,qAS,VA3NNW-E:;KWSailing*221729z4340.58N/08043.86WYNoseyNick testing - DO NOT IGATE
