Based on the LandVer PRD below, come up with a design. The design should follow the product specs. However, ideas are welcome.

Definition of Done:

The design is uploaded to the docs folder. We need 2 -3 person for this issue. Each of them will raise a pull request with their contributions.

Design: sample design for LandVer

Hello LandVer team,

I am Joel Vargas, and I'm a member of Dojo Coding. I also come from OnlyDust.

I would like to request the assignment of this issue. Below is my proposed approach for implementing this issue:

How I plan on tackling this issue

Proposal for Design Contribution Based on LandVer PRD

Objective

The goal of this issue is to create a comprehensive design that aligns with the specifications outlined in the LandVer Product Requirements Document (PRD). The design should not only meet the outlined requirements but also include innovative ideas that enhance the user experience.

Design Approach

  1. Review the LandVer PRD:

    • Thoroughly analyze the provided PRD to understand the key functionalities, user personas, and overall objectives of the LandVer project.
    • Identify the core components and user flows that require design input.
  2. Create Wireframes:

    • Develop low-fidelity wireframes for the main pages and components outlined in the PRD, including:
      • Homepage: Highlight key features and user calls to action.
      • Dashboard: Display critical information at a glance, including user stats and quick access links.
      • Feature Pages: Design layouts for each feature, ensuring clarity and ease of navigation.
    • Wireframes should focus on layout, structure, and user flow without getting into detailed visual design at this stage.
  3. Visual Design Mockups:

    • Based on the wireframes, create high-fidelity mockups incorporating branding elements (color schemes, typography, and imagery) that align with the LandVer identity.
    • Mockups should include:
      • Color Palette: Establish a cohesive color scheme that reflects the brand's personality.
      • Typography: Choose fonts that enhance readability and reflect the brand's tone.
      • Icons and Imagery: Utilize appropriate icons and images to support the content and enhance user interaction.
  4. Design Components:

    • Identify reusable components such as buttons, input fields, and cards to maintain consistency throughout the application.
    • Create a design system that includes:
      • Component specifications (size, color, states).
      • Accessibility considerations (color contrast, text size).
  5. User Feedback and Iteration:

    • Share initial designs with team members and gather feedback.
    • Iterate on the designs based on feedback to refine usability and aesthetics.

My background and how it can be leveraged

I am part of the SuperteamNG community and I am excited to bring my design skills to the LandVer Blockchain-based Land Registry System project! Recently, I participated in a Web3 hackathon with my team, where we were proud to be finalists, showcasing our innovative approach to blockchain solutions.

I am proficient in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, which I use to create user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces. These tools have been instrumental in my design process, allowing me to effectively communicate ideas and bring concepts to life.

Additionally, I completed the HNGx internship, where I collaborated with a team of talented designers and ranked in the top 4, further honing my design skills and teamwork abilities.

I’m also new to open-source contribution, and I’m eager to learn and grow in this space. I believe my background in design, combined with my passion for web3, will enable me to make a valuable contribution to the LandVer team.

How I plan on tackling this issue

To approach the design problem, my process would be as follows:

  1. Understanding LandVer Goals -Objective: Deliver a decentralized land registry system that facilitates seamless user interactions for land registration, verification, and transfer.

    • Target Users i. Landowners: Individuals looking to register, manage, and transfer their land. ii. Inspectors: Those verifying and approving land registrations iii. Admins: Users managing the system to ensure smooth operations.

    • Business Goals: Ensure the system is intuitive, secure and responsive.

  2. Task Breakdown

    • To begin, I will examine and analyze the provided flowchart to visualize the user journey and identify key interaction points. This will lead to the creation of a User Journey Map, detailing how different users (landowners, inspectors, and buyers) will engage with the system at each stage.

    • Actionable Design Tasks: Each step in the flowchart will be broken down into specific design tasks. This includes identifying the primary actions required for land registration, verification, and transfer, allowing me to design targeted interfaces for each step.

    • Creating a Style Guide and Moodboard: Before moving to wireframes, I will establish a style guide and moodboard to define the overall visual direction of the project. This will include:

      • Colors: A palette that aligns with the brand identity of LandVer.
      • Typography: Fonts that enhance readability and is modern.
      • Icons: Visual elements that aid in navigation and user understanding.
      • Design Inspiration: Examples from other blockchain or registry platforms to inform the design choices.
  3. Wireframing and Low-Fidelity Designs

    • With the tasks clearly defined, I will begin wireframing each component of the system. The focus here will be on layout and functionality, emphasizing:
      • Ease of Navigation: Ensuring users can effortlessly find their way through the system.
      • Clarity of Actions: Clearly communicating what users can do at each stage.
      • Information Display: Effectively presenting necessary information without overwhelming users.
  4. Creating Interaction and Feedback Loops

    • Feedback mechanisms will be crucial in guiding users throughout their journey. At each stage, I will ensure the design provides clear confirmations and updates. For instance, after submitting a land registration, users should receive a notification: Land submitted for approval—pending inspector review. This enhances user trust and satisfaction.
  5. Hi-Fi, Prototyping and Testing

    • After wireframing, I will develop high-fidelity design and prototype. These prototypes will simulate user interactions, allowing for comprehensive usability testing. This step will involve gathering feedback from users to refine the design further, ensuring it meets their needs effectively.
