I may sound like Mr obvious but you should implement the new UI (https://github.com/Not-Baguette/WS2P/issues/2) by using electron as the frontend and python as the backend. Electron is probably much more easier to work with and simple.

Wouldn't that meant I have to rewrite it? I am not too familiar with electron to be honest

I guess you don't really need to do that but idk if it's possible to create an interface like that on py
