why do you call your own work "newer and improved"

If we take a stroll to https://github.com/discord/discord-api-docs/blob/master/docs/rich_presence/How_To.md#updating-presence we will clearly see that there is a limit of 1 presence update per 15 seconds (thats 15,000 ms)

Looking at L49 of Program.cs in your RPC we will observe that you're clearly updating your presence every 4 seconds

Generally, instead of iterating through processes running on the machine you should rather iterate through open windows.

How does this relate to the code itself

Rather than setting your presence and returning if the RPC client is not initialized rather you should remove L112-L116 and continue setting the presence outside of the if block as it reduces code duplication (I'm surprised rider did not warn you for this!)

Overall I don't quite get the point of creating a thread here, this could easily be done and more understandable not starting a separate thread

Storing the strings in array would just take up more space in memory because .NET/IL sucks

Overall I think writing this entire issue was a waste of my time. Stop acting like you know what you're doing if you have no idea.

infact @socketbug, using WMI to filter by a list of Win32_Processes that end in TIDAL.exe would be much more efficient method of finding the TIDAL window

SELECT Caption FROM Win32_Process WHERE ExecutablePath LIKE '%TIDAL.exe'

The Caption should be the MainWindowTitle that you reference in your code, if I'm not misremembering the Win32_Process class.
