In my office there are three WiFi networks, let's call their SSIDs "A", "B" and "C". All of them are provided by the same AP (Multi-SSID setup). Each one uses different authetication methods. My phone is allowed to join "A" with WPA-PSK auth. After a while, it also has automatically added networks B and C, although I never selected any of them.
If I remove B and C from the known networks list, they will reappear again. They will be added to the top of the network list and my phone will try to connect to them - and fail, since it has no credentials for B and C. But since they are on the top of the list, they will effectively block my phone from connecting to A.
