I haven't such device. As result - you haven't interface :)))

You can use http://www.testiphone.com/ to emulate the iPhone. You just need to change your useragent string which you can easily do in firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59 The settings for the iPhone are: Description: iPhone, User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en), App Name: AppleWebKit/420+ (KHTML, like Gecko), App Version: Version/3.0, Platform: Mobile/1A542a Safari/419.3.
Maybe you'd reconsider? I can help you test and develop if necessary.
Thanks,
Dennis

Hm... may be... 1) If you have real device - try to use ruTorrent on it when categories and details is turned off (for do this - press help button in ruTorrent menu, after that click on "Toggle details" and "Toggle categories"). Is all OK with performance? 2) Which thing is used in this device instead context menu?
From flx...@gmail.com on November 20, 2009 08:12:52
Hey novik65,
1: ruTorrent works fine on it, be it a bit slow on loading all the javascript. Disabling details and categories helps on improving readability but still needs zooming.
2: The main problem is that the iPhone basically only emulates the left mouse button, so using the context menu by default is impossible. It could be that you change a bit of the behavior by showing control buttons when clicking on a torrent.
You might want to take a look at the ebook "iPhone and iPod touch Programming Handling Touch Interactions and Events for Mobile Safari": http://media.wiley.com/assets/1327/11/Wrox_Blox_Sample.pdf As a bonus I've attached my impression of what ruTorrent should kind of look like. As framework you could use iui: https://code.google.com/p/iui/ Demo: http://iui-js.appspot.com/samples/music/music.html#_home I hope you would like to reconsider the WontFix status :)
Thanks!
Dennis

I don't know if there is any special torrent software out there for the iPhone, but for my G1 (android), I use (well, I just found it because of this post actually) TransDroid [ https://code.google.com/p/transdroid/ ].
It's a pretty slick mobile interface...not as nice as ruTorrent, but as an app, it does a very nice job....all it does is tap into the same rtorrent settings that rutorrent uses.
If you click on the link I attached, you can see plenty of screenshots & stuff.

As result - accepted, but not as a subject of development in the nearest future.

для uTorrent есть вот такая веб-морда http://sites.google.com/site/ultimasites/utorrent-miniui , может и ее можно адаптировать для работы rtorrent? ) было бы замечательно )
From novik65 on December 02, 2009 06:38:48

I think this would make an excelent bounty item. If all the people who have smart phones get together and throw in 5-10 dollars each, it would help greatly (perfect example, the low bandwidth work which was just done, this was the result of a 100 dollar bounty, and it decreased bandwidth down to 1/10th of what it is WITHOUT the plugin)
From flx...@gmail.com on April 07, 2010 04:45:43
If you're using a Nexus One, I'd recommend TransDroid: https://code.google.com/p/transdroid Also, I wouldnt mind chipping in, as long as it produces a decent interface for mobile, specifically the iphone. But we can make separate templates I guess.
From anders%t...@gtempaccount.com on May 28, 2010 02:43:58
aaaw I'd love an iPhone friendly interface!
From ipwn0...@googlemail.com on June 16, 2010 07:22:39
I second that. A Iphone interface / app would set rutorrent really far ahead of everything out there.
From mikkr...@gmail.com on June 18, 2010 09:17:43
an app will never come because of Apple's stright policy on torrents being illegal (......!) Transdroid is however available for Android.
From Wonslung@gmail.com on June 19, 2010 15:27:28
an App might not ever come but rutorrent is designed to run from the web.
All that is needed is a web based front end which is optimized for a small touch screen display.
There is no reason this can't be done eventually, though people who want it should start putting up money to fund the development if they truly want to see it sooner rather than later.
From dmitry%p...@gtempaccount.com on July 18, 2010 18:26:06
So how's it going?
From budiswi...@gmail.com on July 19, 2010 15:41:16
Yeah, Google Voice made a great web front end when Apple wouldn't let them release their ap on the store and I agree, Apple would never OK this although it's a bit rich considering they let iTunes copy non drm protected content to your device.
From nonap...@gmail.com on August 19, 2010 14:04:06
Ipad compatibility would be nice... As mentioned before, context menus and scrolling don't work.
From dmitry%p...@gtempaccount.com on September 05, 2010 06:23:36
у utorrentа кстати есть вполне годная веб морда под iphone http://www.davidraso.com/utorrent-iphone/ может найдете там что-нибудь полезного...

Here's a standalone webinterface for rtorrent: http://kramerican.dk/index.php?page=rtorrent-for-iphone

Android users should go the transdroid route. Does not work with rtorrent rev:1148, though.
From AntiChri...@gmail.com on October 10, 2010 10:09:25
r1130 works with both Transdroid and ruTorrent. Though, recent revisions of rTorrent recently fixed some redirects to depreciated commands which should restore ruTorrent compatibility.
From goran...@gmail.com on May 18, 2011 01:47:32
scrolling works in frames, you just have to scroll with two fingers at the same time

Since upgrading to rutorrent v3.3. The iPhone can't load the webui as nice as previous. Thewebui loads automatically to iPhones resolution. Unlike previous which can load at higher res and allow me to zOom in and out. The added feature of right click in form of long single tap is welcomed. I tried multiple web browsers on iPhone like safari, atomic web, and opera mini. I tried toggling categories, details, and menu, improved slightly but still can't do much. Particularly if I open rss manager, the dialogue is bigger than the resolution and I cannot zoom out to accept or cancel that dialogue. Don't really know what to do except to post here. Please help?!?
From novik65 on September 28, 2011 23:43:16
1) Now ruTorrent is not intended for work with something like iPhone. 2) If you want to add zoom - try to remove line
in the file index.html.

Any updates on this?
From flx...@gmail.com on November 20, 2009 13:58:32
Hi,
Have you ever considered creating a separate iPhone or other phone interface? To detect it you can do something like:
< ?php $browser = strpos($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'],"iPhone"); if ($browser == true) { echo 'Code You Want To Execute'; } ?>
There hasn't been a real rtorrent gui for phones, except for TorrenTouch, which never worked.
This might be interesting on getting attention to the ruTorrent project.
Regards,
Dennis
