Since version 1.0.1, dnscrypt-proxy can run as a Windows service: https://github.com/jedisct1/dnscrypt-proxy/blob/master/README-WINDOWS.markdown

It would be awesome if your user interface could take advantage of this!

That's been on my to-do list for awhile now, but there are other items on there getting in the way unfortunately. I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Life has finally quieted down and I was able to push this out in e2bc54fd8e2320f608b4e3d2c3427a8716c2853d. Plugin support is still in the works, but is next on my list.
