Cannot install tesseract on ubuntu linux, need procedure manual #1428

I cannot install the tesseract in ubuntu linux.I have downloaded the tar 
package for tesseract 3.03 from this link  
https://tesseract-ocr.googlecode.com/archive/3.03-rc1.tar.gz I do not know 
where to search for 3.04 package.

I ran tesseract in windows successfully but I need to develop a traindata and 
the command 'text to image' is not available in windows.So, I have decided to 
work on linux.I am a beginner in linux and I need a step by step manual to 
install tesseract in linux.Please help me.

There is an installation document with the package but this is too 
complicated.I need simpler language to understand.I attached the document here.
