My personal site is broke, busted, and disgusted at the moment because I miss-configured the set up. I forgot that GitHub Pages uses Jekyll to build sites, and it doesn't play nicely with the web components I created to simplify the set up of common objects across my pages.
Need to figure out what I'm going to do here. The first thing is to either just host my new site somewhere else - maybe AWS for example - or rework the current structure of my site to not use web components (BUT THEY'RE SO CONVENIENT).
New landing page looks nice, but I need to figure out how I am going to publish this page + potentially support dynamic content. Not really interested in using Wordpress given the ongoing issues within the community.
Seems like adding a .nojekyll file to the site root directory will prevent GitHub Pages from using Jekyll to render the site. Let's see what happens...
