7 years ago Hi there! We got the same problem in our world. We are playing on Minecraft 1.11.2 and I testet Bibliocraft 2.3.0 and 2.3.2. I even downloaded the world and tried it localy. The result was the same. Disk Racks, Oak Clocks and other stuff is roating when placed on the ground or at the wall.
My building has five levels in the basements, a mainfloor and two levels over it. Attached to the building there is huge dome out of glass. The whole thing is build in respectively on a hill. The problem accours only on the first floor and above. There isn't even a problem in my dome.
Unfortunately there isn't an entry in or logs, but I can send you or world with a modpack we are using.

7 years ago hmmm, I am still not sure what is making this happen. Perhaps a copy of a world with the modpack that is doing it consistently would help me. So yeah, if you wouldn't mind, I'll take a look at your world @Casdaeus and see if that helps me figure out what is going on.

7 years ago Hi there and thanks for the answer. In order to continue playing in our world I deleted the mod itself and even cleaned my level.dat to remove all warnings from FML. I even updated my whole modpack. I tested your mod in a local copy of my world with again in creative mode. It is kind of funny. Now this problem is gone. But when placing anything in my "home" I got the tessalting block error crash.
In our first world we had this issue after finishing a Tinker Smeltery. More funny is. Nothing happened there until someone joined the chunk with the smeltery in. After deleting Bibliocraft in this world it worked well again.
Mybe there is a conflict with Tinker's Construct.
@Kyrislian Do you have this mod installed too? @Nuchaz I will upload the world this evening after finishing work. You can download my modpack at http://casdaeus.de/modpack.zip. You have to insert Bibliocraft manualy. Will send you the coords and the link to the world later.

6 years ago @Casdaeus, we don't have Tinker's Construct, but I have a feeling it's something to do with Pam's Harvestcraft. Once I removed a ground trap from nearby, items close to it has stopped rotating. I placed a bee hive in close proximity to my house and I noticed then that all my labels had flipped sideways. Removing said bee hives fixed this.
Other stuff: Spruce fancy signs caused me to crash when logging in. Once my friend was able to come to my home to destroy it, I could go back in fine.

6 years ago One of the guys on our server has had the same problem, but it's only in his base. He doesn't have any Pams items around, though... so I'm not sure what to think. 6 years ago I am having this issue too on MC 1.12 with Biblio 2.4.3 I noticed that whenever I return to base or login, my shelves are all rotated into the same position (against the west-side of the blockspace). Also, some items in the shelves vanish.

5 years ago Hi. I have been frustrated by the same issues as well in Enigmatica 2 Expert v1.36. Bibliocraft 2.4.5. My tool rack looses it's framed texture and turns to face east from north. The armor stand doubles. Even the framing bench disappears. And when trying to use labels they disappear, and the items in them don't render either. Then when you shift-right click on any of these items they go back to the way they should be. Do you still need a world download with the issues? I can provide a copy of my world, if that helps. I have attached a pic of labels, they should all have something in them. :(

5 years ago I found this through a Google Search. Sorry if my input isn't desired. I'd been experiencing this about a year ago with Tekkit 1.10.2. And now again using a personalised modpack running 1.12.2 (Bibliocraft 2.4.5). So it's a problem that's existed for a long time.
Putting something in the storage unit causes the unit to flip the right way and present its contents normally. But after a while, the unit flips back so its front-face points east. Regardless of whether or not you placed it facing that way to begin with, when the glitch happens, it stops showing the objects you put into it, and you have to rummage the contents to get it correct momentarily.
It is probably a mod conflict. My first guess would be Forge Microblocks (as that also messes around with putting entities down, and a lot of people are going to have it as standard), but I don't particularly want to test because my game takes 10 minutes to load at a time and testing the mods piece-by-piece is gonna suck.

For me, this happens when bookcases are in the same chunk as a Tinker's Construct Smeltery Controller. Once I moved the smeltery to a different chunk, the issue stopped happening.

4 years ago I am still having this issue. It happens with bookcases, armor stands, and fancy signs. The signs rotate to face east and the text gets wiped (sometimes it's only for me, sometimes it's for everyone, sometimes it's only for other people). It seems to work 10% of the time when leaving and rejoining the game. The armor stands face east and the armor in them disappears (though it's still present in the armor stand inventory). I also have the music disc racks and they do the same thing. Face east and contents visibly disappear.
I do not have a smeltery in this chunk, rather 1 chunk over. The armor stands in that chunk, however, seem to be unaffected. It is not the smeltery controller causing my issue.
I do have a tinkers autocrafting setup like 40 blocks below the armor stand room in the same chunk though. But it seems this issue is unique to bibliocraft so even if a feature from another mod is causing the bug, only bibliocraft is affected so I would consider this a definite bibliocraft bug.

4 years ago I don't know what an "autocrafting setup" entails, but do you reckon this has anything to do with multi-block entities? For example, when you arrange the blocks in a Smeltery in the right configuration, they change. Or any large building from Thaumcraft, or Ars Magica 2? Or anything that comes together when you put the last block in, in a way that's different to just the sum of the blocks?

4 years ago The autocrafting system I have uses a large string of ME interfaces and molecular assemblers connected to each other. While I guess technically it's a "multiblock" structure, the individual blocks don't change texture when placed and have independant uses when apart from each other. So it's as much of a multiblock structure as random machines with hoppers and power cables attached to them. There are power cables and ME cables that "change" when you put another one next to it, i.e. connect in a line. Would that count? Also I guess redstone placed on blocks technically has this same behavior. But I have some signs and armor stands in another chunk that also have redstone and cables that don't glitch. So I don't think it's that specifically.

4 years ago Could it be just the large number of different blocks I have in that chunk? I have some frogs above, lots of ME blocks below, a lot of inverted white lamps (non-wrapping textures) and glass too. I have 5 floors from y=75 to bedrock that the chunk goes through. Nothing on the bottom 2 floors but stone bricks and lamps.
It doesn't seem to happen with other people's bases who have less "stuff" to render (and my fps goes down to like 40 in certain parts of my base while it stays above 70 everywhere else).

Anybody still having this issue? I just came across it. I think the issue in my case is that I just made a Tier 8 Draconic Energy Core. It's a huge multi-block structure that also checks blocks 16 blocks away from it on each side, and these book cases and potion shelves were within its area. So I think I'm with TheInfamousAlk here that it might be caused by multi-block structures nearby?

Sorry for double commenting, but I just found out that the bookshelves, though appearing empty, still kept their contents and re-oriented themselves whenever I updated them by taking a book out and putting it back in. No block breaking required.

3 years ago This issue is plaguing my library in a personal modpack. Following the discussion above, I notice that this issue didn't happen right away but rather seemed to get worse as my base got more complex. I have tinker smeltery, tinker tank, several immersive engineering machines, an ME system, and a network of thermal expansion machines and ducts, and all of the covers and facades to make them look nice.
Perhaps my modlist will help narrow down the conflict further. It's a huge shame that this bug is going ignored as it pretty much breaks Bibliocraft as a decorative mod entirely.

1 year ago I've been seeing this on Minecraft 1.10.2 (Farming Valley modpack) plus:
All temporary visual glitches that fix themselves randomly later. The glitched appearance is always the same—the desk always rotates to the same wrong orientation. Seems there's a general problem with loading block-specific data some of the time, and maybe the replacement values are the defaults for those blocks?
Hi! Thanks for this awesome mod :D Friends and I have been enjoying this, but for an odd reason items have begun to flip around when placed on the floor. Tool boxes placed on the wall flip around (so the back is facing the player and the side with the tools is facing the wall). This also applies to shelves. However, taking/placing an item on the shelves/boxes will flip them the right way round again. This does not happen if the only block they're touching is the wall they're placed against.
Boxes too seem to vanish until opened while frame boxes are rotated sideways. Some labels are also affected and vanish. When attempting to destroy them they will appear but the text is missing (possibly rotated as well?)
Armor stands will also double up on top of each other.
When corrected, the furniture will remain as is but will revert back when the map is reloaded.
